    Producing Artistic Director

    Jennifer Jackson (Artistic Director) Jennifer has enjoyed working from east to west as an actor with Theatre for Humanity NYC, Americana Theatre Co., Virginia Rep, Virginia Musical Theatre, Richmond Shakespeare, The Round Barn Theatre, Cap Stage, Sacramento Theatre Co., and The Classic. Selected regional credits include: Miss Scarlet (Clue), Jane (Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley), Woman (The Other Place), Amanda Prynne (Private Lives), Woman (The 39 Steps), Della (Gifts of the Magi), Milady (The Three Musketeers), Brooke Wyndham (Legally Blonde), Gabriela (Boeing, Boeing), and the swashbuckling Pirate Queen for the Pirate Dinner Adventure in Buena Park. In addition to performing, Jennifer has produced 50 shows, served for 10 years as Producing Director and Associate Artistic Director of Americana Theatre Company in Plymouth, MA, is a founding member of The Classic, recently established The Classic Theatre, a professional theatre company serving Placer County, CA, and enjoyed a brief stint as a casting director and talent agent.   • Kayla Johnston

    Associate Artistic Director & Resident Choreographer

    Kayla is a wife to her loving husband, and a mama of 2 creative and spirited kiddos. She highly involved in the performing arts community as a performer and choreographer throughout the greater Sacramento area. After graduating from Jessup University with a B.A. in Creative Arts - Theatre, she began her pursuit of professional theatre while creating Blue Oaks Performing Arts, a studio for students 18 months - 18 years old, where she now sits as the Artistic Director. She has been blessed to perform with companies such as Sacramento Theatre Co., Americana Theatre Co., and Chadash Contemporary Dance Co. Some of her favorite credits include: Annelle (Steel Magnolias), Laurey (Oklahoma), Jo March (Little Women the Musical), Judy Hanes (White Christmas), and Margaret White (Carrie the Musical),. You can regularly find her leading worship at Bayside Blue Oaks, teaching classical styles of dance, choreographing for local productions, and speaking about the cultural importance of the arts.   • Kelly Ann Dunn

    Principal Artist

    Kelly Ann Dunn is the proud owner of KD Studios. She studied musical theatre at Point Park University, and William Jessup University where she earned her B.A degree in Creative Arts-Theatre. She performs in professional theaters on both the east coast and west coast. She was most recently seen in NETFLIX’S FRESHMAN YEAR and AMAZON PRIME’S VENOM COAST. Some of her favorite Theatrical credits are “Rosamund” in THE ROBBER BRIDEGROOM, “Gloria” in BOEING BOEING, “June” in MUSICALS OF MUSICALS, and “Jan” in GREASE. She was also seen in HBO'S SHARP OBJECTS as a featured actor and has appeared in some commercial work for McDonalds, Intel, and other national companies She hopes to instill confidence into all of her students and to help them grow into people who believe in themselves, love others, and fiercely pursue their dreams.     Morgan is an actor, teacher, and advocate for foster youth and system involved youth. She graduated with her B.A. in Theatre with a concentration in Musical Theatre. She is passionate about telling imaginative, compelling, and beautiful stories. Some of her credits include, THE CRUCIBLE, SCROOGE! THE MUSICAL, OKLAHOMA, CARRIE THE MUSICAL, THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST. IG: @morganwmena

  • Nick Hancock

    Artist

    Nick is a Sacramento-based actor, musician, teacher with a BA in Musical Theatre from William Jessup University. Educational credits: Treasure Island, Oklahoma!, Seven Brides.   • Wendy Hoover

    Wendy Hoover is Artistic Director and co-founder of Christian Youth Theater Sacramento where she teaches, directs and music directs. She offers private voice lessons, holds a B.A. in Music/Vocal Performance from UNM and is thankful to be back in the role of singer/actor. John 1:14

  • Andy Phillips

    Artist

    Andy is a graduate of The Actors Studio Drama School MFA, he’s originated roles on stage in The Escape Artist, Two Women on a Precipice, Worth House, Eurydice Descending, and more. He recently starred in the feature film, The Lost End, and is currently based in Austin, TX. IG: @andyphillipsharris

  • Gary Wright

    Artist

    Gary’s theatre career spans almost 40 years, with acting credits at Foothill Theatre Company, Sacramento Theatre Company, B Street Theatre, Fantasy Theatre, California Musical Theatre, Capitol Stage, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, the Arvada Center, the Oregon, Colorado, and Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festivals, and the Maxim Gorky Drama Theatre in Vladivostok, Russia. In the past decade or so, Gary has waxed literary, with plays written on commission for Foothill Theatre Company, Sacramento Theatre Company, and Palo Alto Children’s Theatre. He also has a screenplay in pre-production with Salt & Light Pictures, and others in various stages of development with Nasser Entertainment Group and Votiv Film.

    Miles is a CSUS Graduate, with a Bachelors in Theatre, and is thrilled to be a part of The Classic Theatre.
